Basic science says keep your coffee in the fridge. Or does it?
At Coffee Plant we advise coffee enthusiasts to get your beans as freshly roasted as possible and keep them in the fridge.
Nobody is arguing about the freshly roasted bit, but a report in the coffee trade press quotes a well known coffee shop’s advice to store at room temperature. Have they been misquoted? Has anyone done a systematic blind test with identical samples stored for say three months?
We still advise the fridge especially for longer periods.
