These and continental roasts are the most popular. A medium strong roast has developed more flavour (and lost some of the creamy body) of medium coffee, but not yet reached the temperature which imparts the extra continental bite. It is most often drunk in cafetieres but many people use medium stong coffee for a milder espresso or stronger filter coffee.
