Our most popular espresso coffee by quite a long way. A blend of Latin American coffees designed to maintain strong but smooth espresso and a fairly strong latte. Note: the quality of the coffee means you can run this blend on a very fine grind yielding both body and strength.

This is the espresso we use in our shop. Our catering customers know it as Espresso 2.

Description

A strong, almost continental roast blended with a full-medium roast, this organic and Fairtrade coffee is a great favourite among our customers because of its versatility. No need to choose between espressos, lattes or cappuccinos, you can have it all with the Espresso No 2 blend.

It produces a smooth but strong espresso coffee or, if you like your drink milky, a medium-to-strong latte or cappuccino.

In our own café in London’s Noting Hill, this is the blend we use for shots, as its combination of Latin American arabica coffee beans makes it robust but without the bitterness that sometimes comes with these beans. Our many regular customers tell us that it is the strongest coffee on the high street so if you need your daily dose of caffeine, you know where to go!

Like for all our coffees, the beans goes through a rigorous process to ensure that we offer nothing but excellence. They are roasted to perfection by eye by our experienced roaster with no computer-controlled temperature profiles to make the decisions, and because of its superior quality, this blend can be run on a very fine grind yielding both body and strength.

These beans are suitable for: strong shot, strong espresso, medium-to-strong latte, medium-to-strong cappuccino.

This coffee is also available in 250g valve bags.

Did you know our ordering system allows you to create your own blends? Order each component of the blend separately and than tell us what do do in the special information box. We can then blend it and if required grind it, saving you a potentially messy kitchen worktop

Blending tip: when deciding on a mixed roast blend it usually works better to have more of the milder roast, less of the stronger.

Blending tip: even the strongest roast can be mixed with a normal tasting blend – so long as you use very little. Start by trying one part in four.
