Description

This exceptional African washed arabica coffee from the Nova plantation is comparable in range of flavors and strength to Kenyan. This is a full medium roast, very flavorsome but not quite continental, a similar strength to our Kenya/Colombia blend.

The Nova washing station is located at 1,482 m in the district of Gicumbi of Northern Rwanda. Coffees processed at the Nova Washing station and grown in Volcanic soil on farms nearby at 1,750 m.

Growing Altitude – 1,750 above sea level

Milling process – Washed and Sun dried

Harvest Period – March – May

Aroma – Fruit, Figs, Lemon and Dark Chocolate.

Our coffee beans are roasted by eye by our experienced roaster with no computer controlled temperature profiles to make the decisions. This is just one aspect of the care we use to maintain the fine flavor our customers expect.

Did you know our ordering system allows you to create your own blends? Order each component of the blend separately and than tell us what do do in the special information box. We can then blend it and if required grind it, saving you a potentially messy kitchen worktop

Blending tip: when deciding on a mixed roast blend it usually works better to have more of the milder roast, less of the stronger.

Blending tip: even the strongest roast can be mixed with a normal tasting blend – so long as you use very little. Start by trying one part in four.

Really lovely bright strongish taste. Getting my 2nd kilo of beans we loved it so much.

Wow! Just wow! I have tried quite a number of these coffees but always come back to my two favourites Cuban and Monsoon Malabar. So I only tried 0.3 of a kilo of this one but I will definitely be coming back for a kilo of it for my next order. It is strong and flavoursome, not too acidic and not too bitter. Just perfect!
